[edit] History
[edit] Foundation
The first Noble Power Clan was formed in January 2007, by {NP} n00b, as a training group. However, after realising the potential of his group to become a real competetive clan, {NP} n00b changed his name to {NP}Noble and re-named his group to "Noble Power", officially declaring it a clan. It would ideally consist of the people receiving training from Noble and trusted members whom he would call Trainers.
I was bored one day, and decided to try and start a clan. I hosted my server and called myself "{NP} n00b". But believe it or not, {NP} initially did not stand for "Noble Power", it meant "Noob Programme", a programme-type clan designed to train noobs until they became better. This is why, at the start of the clan, and towards the middle, there were lots of training sessions being held.
- Noble, Founder of {NP}
A few days after the birth of the clan, Noble recruited a person in Halo going by the name of "DianF", and he was to later become Noble's right-hand man. Whenever Noble needed help, he was there. DianF did the majority of the recruitment during the clan's first weeks. It was obvious that the Noble Power clan would become a significant force. When several other members had been found, Noble trained them every day, while recruitment continued without stopping.
Noble had made a promise that it wouldn't matter how good his recruits were at Halo, since they were all welcome to join. Noble Power was designed with the intention of being a fun clan. Once trained however, the recruits proved worthy of combat, and Noble entrusted them with a new status - the coveted Clan Fighter rank.
[edit] Establishment
Early on, Noble used his own server a lot, hosting games and recruiting people, in an attempt to establish his clan as a respected one. However, he needed someone to help his clan form and flourish as he and DianF were overcome with other priorities. Noble remembered a person he met in Halo a long time ago. He went by the name of Pooscooper. He was recruited and made him a leader alongside DianF almost immediately. Pooscooper was trained more than anyone else, until his skills almost rivalled those of Noble himself.
Appointing Pooscooper as a leader turned out to be a wise decision, for later on, he would recruit actively and bring in many new recruits.
This ideal training group was on the verge of change, however. During a particularly memorable training session, a person guessed the password for the server. His name was BMP. According to standard procedure, Noble intended to ban him, but after a brief moment of consideration, recruited BMP. This proved to be a good choice for the growing clan.
[edit] First Golden Age
BMP began hosting dedicated servers, and Noble Power entered a golden age of domination over the game. During this period, the Clan Fighters were responsible for the destruction of many clans. Noble Power grew stronger and stronger with every passing day. Clans that did not wish to be destroyed made alliances, and those who resisted were crushed.
As the golden age drew to a close, Noble decided to host one last server to recruit the last members he would ever need. This server was joined by a relatively new player to the game, who went by the name of Horizon. Noble observed that, although he wasn't particularly skilled, he was a charismatic leader of the other team, co-ordinating attacks and twice managing to capture Noble's flag. Noble recruited Horizon, and honoured him with the Clan Fighter rank.
[edit] First Recession
However, after destroying the last opposing clan, and recruiting the last member, there was nothing left for Noble Power to acheive. It had become the largest and most respected clan in the game. DianF had not been active for months. The only leaders left were Pooscooper and BMP. Pooscooper was becoming increasingly busy in his own life, and BMP spent more time with the clan forums than he did in the game.
Noble saw that if this continued, the clan would slowly fade away. He contacted a high-ranking officer within the clan, Rohit, and ordered him to announce that the forums were to be shut down and the clan disbanded. Pooscooper ulitmately left, leaving BMP as the solitary leader.
The clan would go out with a bang.
However, Noble's command would not be followed, for he had trained one of his members too well. Horizon expressed an everlasting loyalty to the clan, and refused to see it die. He did not remove his tags and he was publicly outspoken against all those who supported Noble.
[edit] First Reformation and Second Golden Age
His performance inspired BMP to re-construct the clan that Noble had nearly destroyed. He made Horizon a leader alongside himself, and together they persuaded many of the old members to return, including Pooscooper and Rohit.
BMP had a wide network of contacts, and he was able to set up more than a dozen dedicated servers. Those who had never heard of Noble Power were soon to gaze in awe as the newly-reformed clan completely dominated the game.
Playing to the strengths of both BMP and Horizon, the clan followed a peaceful path, avoiding wars and forming alliances where possible.
